Will you give my e-mail address or personal information to anybody else?

Personal information provided to the NFB will never be sold, rented or provided to third parties. If we have to share personal information with a third party, such as in the case of a survey we commission, we will always inform you of this when asking for your personal information, and we’ll also tell you how your personal information will be used. You can decide whether you’d like to participate or not. We will only disclose information we keep when we are required to do so by law, for example, in response to a court order or a subpoena.

As a government institution under the Canadian Privacy Act, we must notify the Privacy Commissioner in writing of any disclosure of personal information before using that information for a purpose other than that for which it was obtained. This means we cannot share this information without prior permission.
