What is Media School?

The Media School Digital Storytelling workshop is an online introductory course on media production for students aged 13 to 18 years old.

Guided by filmmaker and mentor Paul Tom, students will navigate through hundreds of videos and interactive activities that will allow them to acquire long-lasting competencies in the following fields :

  • photography;
  • editing;
  • research;
  • writing narration;
  • online ethics;
  • copyright;
  • distribution.

Media School is a turn-key resource, easy to use in-class or at home.

A usage licence is required to use any of the resources available on nfb.ca in a classroom setting. You may already have a usage licence through your school board, your provincial Ministry of Education, or another organization. To find out, please contact us.
