No, it’s not necessary to have an nfb.ca account to access most NFB Education resources. 

However, an nfb.ca account is required to access a Media School Digital Storytelling workshop class that a teacher has invited you to attend. Without an account, there would be no way to save your work or progress.  

Creating an nfb.ca account also offers the following advantages: 

• My List: You can add films to the “My List” section for easy retrieval; 

• Personalized suggestions: You will receive personalized film suggestions based on your viewings. 

So while creating an account is not required, it will enhance your user experience on nfb.ca.
