The option to create playlists was exclusive to NFB CAMPUS and designed to facilitate film-sharing with students. Previously, it was necessary for a teacher to add CAMPUS-exclusive films to a playlist in order to give their students access to these films.
With the NFB Education model, there is no longer privileged access to some films. As a result, the playlist feature is no longer necessary.
To share a film, you can simply send the URL link of the film page to your students or use the sharing options available on each film page. For more information, please consult the Help Centre article s available on each film page. For more information, please consult the Help Centre article “How can I share NFB films with my students?”
If you have created playlists in the past, you will retain access to these selections in your account as well as the ability to share them. However, you will no longer be able to modify them or create new ones.
Users with an nfb.ca account can still create their own selection of films by adding films to “My List.”
