Why is there no audio when I’m watching a movie through the NFB Films app?

To hear the audio for a movie being played via your NFB Films app, be sure to:

  • upgrade to the latest version of iOS;
  • set the side switch button to the Muting function instead of the Lock Rotation function and ensure that the button is set to “unmute.”


If taking these steps does not fix the problem, please contact customer services with the following information about your current setup:

  • Version of the iPad you are using (1 or 2)
  • Version of the iOS you are using (find this info in Settings App -> General -> Information)
  • Which setting the side switch is set to (Lock Rotation or Mute)
